This is a useful accessory supplied for use with PCB Artists sound level sensors. Using this protective membrane can help prolong the life of our MEMS microphone based sensors in certain applications.
These sticker membranes can be used directly on PCBs with bottom-port MEMS microphones to protect them from dust and debris.
Some distinguishing features of this accessory are
- IP67 with 12KPa WEP, suitable for both outdoor and indoor applications
- Easy installation – simply peel and stick to enclosure or PCB
- Chemically inert ePTFE membrane, UV-resistant, salt resistant
- Hydrophobic and oleophobic, prevents condensation
- Air-permeable, prevents pressure differential inside and outside enclosures
- Conforms to RoHS
How to Use
- Make a hole in the enclosure, make sure the hole diameter is 3 mm or smaller
- Ensure that the surface of the enclosure is flat, dry and clean
- Place the IP67 acoustic sticker membrane centered over the hole
- Press down gently on the rim for about 2 seconds to make it stick well
- Leave the membrane untouched for 24 hours for proper adhesion
